A Pilates ring is a compact resistance tool that can add controlled tension to simple home workouts. Instead of moving quickly, focus on steady pressure, posture and breathing.
Exercise 1: Inner-Thigh Squeeze
Sit upright on a stable chair or lie comfortably on your back with your knees bent. Place the padded sides of the Pilates ring between your thighs, above the knees.
- Keep your feet stable and your spine in a comfortable neutral position.
- Exhale and gently press both thighs inward against the ring.
- Hold the pressure for about 1–2 seconds without forcing the movement.
- Inhale and slowly release the pressure while keeping control.
Start with 8–12 controlled repetitions. The goal is smooth movement rather than maximum force.
Exercise 2: Chest Press
Stand or sit tall and hold the Pilates ring in front of your chest with both hands on the padded sections.
- Relax your shoulders and keep your wrists in a comfortable position.
- Exhale while gently pressing both hands toward each other.
- Pause briefly, then inhale as you slowly reduce the pressure.
- Avoid shrugging your shoulders or bending your wrists excessively.
Perform 8–12 slow repetitions with consistent breathing.
Technique Tips
- Use slow, controlled pressure instead of bouncing or jerking.
- Keep breathing throughout every repetition.
- Choose a comfortable range of motion.
- Stop if you feel sharp pain, numbness, dizziness or unusual discomfort.
- If you have an injury, medical condition or are unsure whether an exercise is suitable for you, ask a qualified healthcare or exercise professional before training.
How to Progress
Begin with one set of each exercise. As your control improves, you can gradually add another set or slightly increase the time under tension. Good technique should remain the priority.
The ElixDose Pilates Ring is designed as a compact resistance accessory for controlled upper-body, core and lower-body exercise routines at home or while travelling.
